Consultant – Hydrogeologist | Newcastle

Samuel Kimber

Sam graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Science (Earth Science) in 2018. Since then, Sam has been working as a geologist in Hunter Valley coal mines and metalliferous sites in Western NSW, where he logged core/chips, assisted with VWP installations, interpreted geophysical logs and managed field data using mining industry standard software.

Sam’s work will initially focus on physical hydrogeology and fieldwork. This will involve drilling supervision, reconciliation of lithological logs to geophysical data, VWP installation and data processing/management.

Outside of work, Sam is quite the socialite, catching up with friends, playing sport or video games. Impressively, Sam has learnt many languages including, but not limited to, Russian and German.
