Kathryn Job

Kathryn joined AGE in September 2023 with a Bachelor of both Science (Geology) and Tourism (Management) and also has a first class honours degree in Geophysics, all from the University of Tasmania. Prior to joining AGE Kathryn worked as a Mine Geologist and Geophysicist in the oil and gas industry.

With a passion for earth sciences, Kathryn enjoys “the diversity of work, ability to get out into the field and wide variety of datasets we get to use to be able to gain a holistic picture of what is occurring in the subsurface. Most days working as a Geologist feels like being a scientific detective”.

Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys traveling to new places and spending quality time with her family. Having visited most countries in Central and South America, Kathryn’s sense of adventure knows no bounds and she can even speak a little Spanish!

For the future, Kathryn hopes the next generation is happy, healthy and has opportunities to succeed.
