Senior – Hydrogeologist | Brisbane

Chad Selbert

Chad joined AGE in the Brisbane office as a Senior Hydrogeologist, with over 10 years’ experience in hydrogeological and environmental projects across infrastructure, environmental, and municipal sectors in New Zealand and Australia. His motivation in hydrogeology is the problem-solving aspect, as every project has its own mix of technical challenges, teamwork and data analysis. He specialises in hydrogeological conceptualisation, analytical and numerical modelling, and project management for multidisciplinary assessments, with a strong focus on seepage, dewatering, and groundwater–surface water interactions.

Chad holds a BSc double majoring in geology and water resources from the State University of New York at Brockport. His studies lead him to spending a semester abroad in New Zealand – an experience that launched his career in the South Pacific. He is also a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP), accredited by the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand (EIANZ).

In his spare time, Chad loves to travel and spend time outdoors. Whether it is cycling, hiking, climbing or reading a book on a beach, he finds balance in nature – adventures that have taken him to more than 30 countries.
