Technical Modelling Lead | Principal – Groundwater Modeller | Brisbane
Neil is a Principal groundwater modeller / hydrogeologist who specialises in numerical groundwater and solute transport modelling. Neil has over 13 years’ experience in groundwater conceptualisation and numerical modelling. Career experience includes numerous water resource assessments and environmental approvals for coal seam mining, iron ore, gold, and coal-bed methane. He has strong capabilities using the MODFLOW family, PEST software packages, and advanced scripting. Neil specialises in diverse problem solving using numerical predictions, and has broad experience in solute transport simulation using MODFLOW-USG Transport, MODPATH, or the MT3D package.
At AGE, Neil loves the freedom to experiment and explore emerging techniques. Busy working on his PhD, he also can’t wait to have a ‘Dr’ in front of his name.
Something that surprises people about Neil is his history touring New Zealand playing cricket for Canterbury as a teenager, especially since nowadays he doesn’t care for sport at all. He prefers to play music as almost a form of mediation: guitar, piano, drums, clarinet, electronic sampling… whatever takes his fancy. “I must learn them all!”
