Principal – Hydrogeologist
Kálmán has 20 years of experience in hydrogeology. Previously he was involved in radioactive waste disposal programs for Hungary, and over the years, he gained wide experience in testing concepts, by using numerical (EPM, DFN) and analytical tools. In 2012, Kálmán relocated to Vancouver, where he worked in Canada’s mining industry: addressing reservoir evaluation, mine dewatering, rock block stability, DFN geomechanical and well test simulation. He tested conceptual designs to help operators to make better development decisions. In 2018, Kálmán moved with his family to Australia, where he was involved in many mining, oil and gas, infrastructure and contaminated land projects.
Kálmán has an extensive family (four kids), so he does not have a lot of free time or any private life in general! In a rare situation, when he has time to focus on himself, he enjoys doing nothing (he is actually pretty good at doing that) or reading philosophy books with an extra emphasis on epistemology.
